Why do so many people:
1. Overwater?
2. Scalp their yards?
3. Bag their clippings?
4. Chop down their crape myrtles every year?
This morning, on my walk, I saw a pair of crape myrtles that had been whacked, but good. And all this work was totally -- TOTALLY -- unnecessary. Crape myrtles do not need to be trimmed.
Take it from me, a former garden writer.
