G.I. Joe is a Hit!
Looking for a parking place on Saturday took some time, and i figured out why as I entered Northpark mall-we'd come in the middle of the kim Dawson Model Search and the place was crawling with teenage girls hoping tob e the next face of KD. After finally finding a way to get around the stage, the girls and their families and fans, whipping out my camera for soem quick pics of Jan Strimple coaching a group of wannabes, we made it to the stairs and went uo lunch before the movie. At Fridays, we ran into neighbor cyndi govvett who made sure to tell my boys what a great mom i was for taking them to see such a boy movie as GI Joe. i was prepared for it to be a real yawner for me but ready to be supoer mom to my boys, so off we went. I was so pleasantly surprised from the beginning of the movie! Action packed but not the kind that rolls a moms eyes back in her ehad waiting for it to pass, real attention keeping action. And, the fact that there were smart and bad a** women in the film was a plus, too! I left, as the boys did, eagerly awaiting the next GI Joe movie as there has to be one, we saw the set up! Go, Joes!!
Oh, and as we were leaving, the model search competion had wrapped up and I made the boys pose for a pic with Jan, our local Dallas Supermodel!
