Our summers have always consisted of us going to South Padre Island during the month of July. To this day we still plan on continuing with our tradition except this year we'll be adding to our list our grand kids and our kids spouses. In 2005 Lou and I took our son Manny to SPI for his graduation and Marine bootcamp gift. It was bitter-sweet because after our trip our son was leaving for bootcamp! Last year it was just Lou and I and the vacation wasn't the same without our kids. So this year Lou wanted for all of the family to spend it together at SPI because it'll be his 50th b-day and a celebration of our son's return from IRAQ. We wanted to give him a gift from us. This will be a very special family vacation because all of the added blessings in our lives. Lou and I plan on celebrating our 25th anniversary on the island as well as renewing our vows on the beach. Part of our ceremony will be for all of our family members (immediate only) to get baptized and re-dedicate our lives as a family to the Lord in the ocean.
