Adoptable animals of the week.. pics!

The Daily C is partnering with the SPCA of Texas to help get the word out about animals that are in need of homes and are currently waiting for you at the Dallas and McKinney locations. Click the 'more' link below for more info on the animals.

Dallas Pets:  Sammy is a fun loving boy who just wants to live life to the fullest. He is a two-year-old white- and tan-spotted Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs 38 pounds. He's super silly andloves to play and have a good time. Sammy was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 23 for another chance of finding a forever home. His previous owner did not have time for a dog. Plus, he's smart and active, so he may do well with agility sports. If you are an athletic individual looking for a companion that can keep up with you on the jogging trail, look no further than Sammy! Come on by the shelter for a get acquainted meeting. #6912154 She's no trouble-maker, but her name just happens to be Mischief. This six-year-old female Domestic Shorthair mix is solid white with a precious pink nose. She's playful, curious and loves affection. But she is well-mannered too. Mischief is housetrained and got along well with the other cats in her prior home. She came to the SPCA of Texas on October 6 because my owner was allergic to cats and couldn’t keep her any more. Mischief is looking forward to meeting her new best friend and being part of a family again. Come on down to the shelter and meet her today. #7552647 Sammy and Mischief are waiting to meet you at the SPCA of Texas' Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas at 362 South Industrial Blvd near downtown. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Regular adoption fees are $185-$285 for puppies 0-6 months, $95-$195 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $75 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for cats, $125 for kittens, $75 for senior cats 7 years and older and $50 for VIP cats.  Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a feline leukemia test for cats four months and older, a microchip, a rabies tag and a free leash or cat carrier. Call 214-742-SPCA (7722) or visit www.spca.org. McKinney Pets: Roxie is a six-and-a-half year old female Cattle Dog mix. But she probably hasn't herded any cattle in her whole life. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on August 17 in order to find a new, forever home. Do you have a yard that needs a good dog? She would do best in a home without young children. She doesn't like to share the spotlight. Roxie is also a student in the Pet Enrichment Basic Training program at the shelter! She is learning basic commands with positive reinforcement training. Come see what new skills Roxie has learned! You can also view her video at www.spca.org/vipclub. #7348698 Jasmine is I'm a four-year-old muted Calico. She was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another shelter on October 16. She is friendly and enjoys seeing people as they walk in the door of the shelter. Please come by and meet this loving lady today! She will be waiting for you in the lobby. #8954095 Roxie and Jasmine are waiting for you at the SPCA of Texas's Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney, 8411 Stacy Road/FM 720.
