NASA recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, the International Space Station is nearing completion and Armadillo Aerospace of Mesquite will be competing for the Google Lunar X-Prize. Come to the former Science Place and find out more about the future of space exploration and development on Saturday! The National Space Society of North Texas, a local chapter of the National Space Society, is presenting the following topics, starting at 1:00 p.m.: * The Solar Dynamics Observatory - NASA's new mission will take a closer look at the Sun in 2010. * International Space Station: THe World's Laboratory - Once ISS is completely built, what do we do with it? * NASA's Constellation: On the Horizon - When the Space Shuttle is retired, astronauts will travel to ISS and the Moon aboard a spacecraft named Orion atop a rocket named Ares. * Commercialization of Space: Solving Mankind's Energy Needs - Long term, how can we use space to benefit our civilization?
