Reading & Radio Resource (formerly North Texas Taping for the Blind & Dyslexic) will host a Festival of Trees Auction on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Marie Gabrielle Gardens. The Festival of Tress will be in conjunction with the Harwood International tree-lighting ceremony. The event is sponsored by Sterling Bank and Harwood International. “Funds will benefit Reading & Radio Resource’s recorded books program for schoolchildren who cannot read for themselves because of vision loss, physical disability or learning differences such as dyslexia. Audio recordings give them hope to study, to pass and to stay in school,” says Ella Fitzbag, Festival of Trees chair. Donors may participate in two ways: Donate a Decorated Tree The Festival of Trees is seeking donations of fully-decorated trees.
