“Unraveling the Mysteries of Your Word Processing Program” Join the Mesquite Historical and Genealogical Society on Thursday, November 13th to learn more about word processing from Diane Bentley. Most of us have learned to produce the documents we need, yet often, are baffled by the results of our actions. You will be introduced to Word, some of its characteristics, and how it "thinks." After identifying many of the features on the screen that may be unknown to you, we'll venture into the mystery of character, paragraph and section formatting, including the Page Setup and Paragraph Formatting menus -- with some of my favorite shortcuts tossed in for flavoring. Be sure and bring your questions on any problem you have had using your word processing program. Diane Bentley began teaching word processing on a Lanier Word Processor in 1978. While teaching evening and weekend classes at Tulsa Junior College in 1987, she switched to teaching WordPerfect.
