For over forty years, the people of Cuba have been the target of a ruthless and inhumane blockade, hurting those citizens who are most vulnerable. The Pastors for Peace Friendship Caravan challenges this policy by delivering much needed supplies to Cuba every year, and views the embargo as “an immoral policy that uses hunger and disease as political weapons. Those attending the reception are also encouraged to bring food and refreshments for the pot luck. Dallasites are asked to bring items to donate to the Caravan. Medicines, vitamins, and antiseptics (with expiration dates no earlier than February 2009) are welcomed. Walking canes, reading glasses, wheel chairs and school supplies are also encouraged.
