The Garland Quilt Guild presents award winning quilter, pattern designer and historian Joan Howes at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday July 7. In her lecture Threads of Time, a history of quilting in the U.S., she will talk about quilts through the ages. The meeting is at the First Presbyterian Church, 930 W. Avenue B in Garland. Refreshments are available and guests are welcome.
