A view of the retail environment through the lenses of photography students from Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is now on exhibit at the Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture through December 31. The exhibit is titled, United Commercial Realty’s 20th Anniversary: Images of the Retail Environment. To commemorate its anniversary milestone, United Commercial Realty presented a real-life work assignment to the students – and the result was so pleasing that UCR wanted to share the students’ talent and spectacular images with museum patrons. The Students Photography students participating in the project were seniors Dylan Smith, Genna Ford, and Matthew Brown and juniors Katy Wood and Rachael Davis. (Please note correct spelling of Ms. Davis’ name is Rachael.) Directing the students was Visual Arts teacher Cassie Edmondson.

The worship team will play both traditional and new Christmas s

Sat 20 Dec 2008 1:00 PM Gold Rush Party!
How it Works: This isn't your mothers Tupperware party! No-one's going to be selling candles or make-up and skin care products, or the newest egg beater, etc.. You don't SPEND any money!! Just bring your old, broken, unwanted, unused and un-fashionable gold items (like the someone special charm your 7th grade boyfriend gave you) and a licensed professional jeweler will evaluate each piece for karat purity. The value of your items will be determined by overall gold content and weight. With no pressure and no obligation you are then given a cash price for your items. If you are content with your appraisal you will be paid in cash. What To Bring: Bring anything gold or silver. Any amount, any color, any karat. Sterling Silverware, flatware, or serving dishes regardless of condition. Items that are outdated, broken, leave bad memories or are just plain ugly and turn it all in for CASH.

A Service on the Longest Night Covenant Presbyterian Church 1700 South Josey Lane Carrollton, TX 75007 972-395-3806 For many of us, Christmas is a bittersweet time of year. It is a time for remembering both persons and events that have been a part of our lives in the past, but that are now changed or gone. It may be that you are having a difficult time showing the joy that our culture seems to expect and manufacture this time of year. This is the Winter Solstice. This is the time of year with the longest nights, so around this time we offer a quiet, meditative worship service that makes time for remembering, sharing our hurting places with God, and preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ. Join us on Sunday evening, December 21, 2008 at 6:00 pm, for a time of special music, scripture, stories, silent reflection, healing prayer and communion. Please come
