My daughter is a 2006 graduate of Poteet HS of and she needs your help.
She is on the waiting list for a heart transplant and her family and friends are asking for community support to help raise money for this very costly surgery. We can't do it alone
We are having a benefit in her honor from 12-3 on Nov 22nd at Poteet HS. The Mesquite fire department is bringing their fire truck, ambulance and is going to be serving a BBQ lunch. The police will be there with a car for kids to see.
There will also be a silent auction and raffles with items from places like The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Up Town Grill, Dallas Mavs and Stars, Concert tickets and much much more.

Mark your calendars for the next free Bancroft Family Concert on November 22 featuring highlights from Handel's moving oratorio, [i]Saul[/i]. Conducted by the Dallas Opera Music Director, Maestro Graeme Jenkins, the performance will be held in Horchow Auditorium at the DMA. The doors open at 2:30pm for a 3:00pm concert. United Commercial Realty's 20th Anniversary:
A view of the retail environment through the lenses of photography students from Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is now on exhibit at the Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture through December 31. The exhibit is titled, United Commercial Realty’s 20th Anniversary: Images of the Retail Environment.
To commemorate its anniversary milestone, United Commercial Realty presented a real-life work assignment to the students – and the result was so pleasing that UCR wanted to share the students’ talent and spectacular images with museum patrons.

Transfiguration Choir
This adult choir rehearses on Wednesdays and divides in two to sing either the 9:00am or the 11:15am services. The choir provides music for the two principal Sunday Services and Holy Day Liturgies, and sings several Choral Evensong services and Concerts. Singers should have a good voice for choral singing, be able to read music, and have previous musical experience. An informal audition is required. Directed by Joel Martinson.

Medical Methodologies for Stress Reduction
In this 6-week course, we will explore and practice the stress reduction methodologies developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founding director of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Festival of Trees
Reading & Radio Resource (formerly North Texas Taping for the Blind & Dyslexic) will host a Festival of Trees Auction on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Marie Gabrielle Gardens. The Festival of Tress will be in conjunction with the Harwood International tree-lighting ceremony. The event is sponsored by Sterling Bank and Harwood International.

The Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Association invites you to the tenth annual “Homes for the Holidays” Home Tour. Kick off the holidays by taking a tour of four architecturally diverse homes on Friday December 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Homes on the tour include a Tudor mansion on Mockingbird, a Modern home on Miramar, a French-inspired home on Edmondson and a California Eclectic on Maplewood. Musica Nova Ensemble to Perform Dec. 5
The School of Arts & Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas presents Mozart & Friends, a classical music concert performed by the Musica Nova Ensemble Friday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. in Jonsson Performance Hall. The Musica Nova Ensemble is made up of student and local professional musicians under the direction of Robert Xavier Rodríguez, renowned composer and professor of music. The group will perform music of W.A. Mozart, Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann. Admission is free. Jonsson Performance Hall is located near Drive C on the UT Dallas campus. Breakfast With Santa
The TCHS Cheerleaders are sponsoring “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 6th in the cafeteria at The Colony High School. Muffins, doughnuts, coffee and juice will be served from 8am to 11am. There will be Christmas crafts for the kids, pictures with Santa Claus ($3.00), letters to Santa, a craft fair and karaoke. Prices are $2 (11 and under) and $4 (12 and up). Come and join the TCHS cheerleaders and Santa for a morning of holiday fun!

Everyone loves a parade! The 37th Annual Christmas Parade is a tradition for many Richardsonites. Come welcome Santa for the holiday on December 6th as he parades with so many of your friends and neighbors at Beltline/Coit and continue North on Coit. The parade begins at 9:00 am.
