Sun 06 Apr 2008 2:00 PM Yoga for Healthy Knees Workshop
Do you have chronic pain in your knees? Do they “snap, crackle, and pop” like a bowl of rice-krispies when you bend or extend them? Or do your knees hyperextend? You may have improper tracking or “dislocation” of your kneecap. Constant wear and tear of your cartilage underneath the patella bone can not only grind down the cartilage, but it can eliminate the opportunity for new cartilage to form and repair due to the improper alignment. Join Lisa Marshall, E.R.Y.T., and Jennifer Martin, R.P.T. at Surya Center for Yoga, for this valuable workshop. You will learn Yoga poses to stretch, and strengthen the two Quad muscles, the vastus medialis, and the vastus lateralis…two that play the most important role in proper knee alignment. You will learn how to correct your own alignment in your Yoga classes and your everyday life to build and maintain healthy knees. *Cost is $25.00, which includes take home material. Register on line @ www.Suryacenteryoga.com or call 972-304-8484.
