Freedom Park finally has a playground.  After 30 years of waiting and asking and waiting some more, we finally got our playground with excellent equipment and something for all ages.  The surrounding area has always had children in almost every household and has needed this play structure for quite some time.

Next we would like to see some of our bond monies spent on a sidewalk to connect the one that ends at the alley behind Salem to the one at the far end of the park at Hartford, which would alleviate the need for our children/pedestrians with their bikes, skates, strollers, etc. to move onto a street that is busy all the time with fast-moving traffic.  Of course, extras such as picnic benches, etc. would be icing on the cake!
