Dr. Lesa Ansell is the winner of the neighbors Choice Award for Best Chiropractor for the Best Southwest. Ansell owns and runs Pro-Adjusters Chiropractic located at 405 Belt Line Road in Cedar Hill.
Ansell had offices in North Dallas and South Dallas, but sold those in order to have an office near her home in Cedar Hill. Pro-Adjusters has been at its current location since October.
Ansell is originally from Oklahoma and attended OklahomaStateUniversity for her undergraduate degree and ParkerCollege for Chiropractors, as well as a few other schools in between.
“The best part about my job is seeing my patients go from being in pain and not being able to walk to being able to get back to doing what they love,” Ansell said.
Ansell offers a variety of treatments including the Pro-Adjuster, a safer, more scientific chiropractic method.
“A lot of people are afraid of the ‘clicking and popping’ that comes with the typical adjustments,” Ansell said. “But with this method, you don’t have any of that, so people tend to like it better.”
She also offers physical therapy, alternative medicine and functional medicine out of her practice.
When Ansell isn’t in the office, she likes to kayak at JoePoolLake, rock climb, wake board and ride horses. She said she really doesn’t have much free time between all of her extracurricular activities as well as being a part of many local organizations. Ansell is a member of the Education Foundation Board of Cedar Hill, Bridges Safe House board, ambassador for the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the World Congress for Women Chiropractors.
“I like being able to utilize my 27 years of medicine with my 10 years in chiropractics to find the answers to peoples problems,” Ansell said. “Sometimes I find things that their physician doesn’t.
“I feel absolutely blessed to be part of this community. This is one of the most supportive communities I have ever lived in,” Ansell said.
